Nanhua Primary School
Monday, August 16, 2010

How time flies! Dylan is entering Primary 1 next year.. I have all along wanted to enrol Dylan into ACS. However, when I'm pregnant in 2008.. & learnt that my 2nd child is a baby girl.. after much consideration.. I decided to put Dylan into a mixed school instead. It would be easier for Dyllis when its her time to enter Primary 1.. Save all the trouble & I don't have to go through it all over again!

In my list.. I have 2 mixed Primary Schools.. 1) Henry Park Primary School & 2) Nanhua Primary School.. I chose Nanhua Primary School because its nearer & more convenient. The response for Nanhua Primary School is astonishingly overwhelming! My registration falls in the Phase 2C. There's only a balance of 36 vacancies for Phase 2C! On the other hand, there's a total of 84 registrations for Phase 2C.. and all registrations fall into the "within 1km" category. I couldn't sleep for the entire week before the balloting result came out! Had very bad insomia.. the feeling is even more exciting when I obtain my 'O' Levels results. I guess at that time.. I'm not even so scare & afraid. With God's blessings.. with everyone's blessings.. Dylan's balloting is successful. He got it! He got it! I was so so so happy when I heard them annoucing his number his name.. My immediate response was a "Yes!".. & I guess I'm quite loud that everyone was staring at me! Haha

I don't know for other parents.. but for me at least.. I think it's very important to give my children a good headstart.. a good Primary School to develop a good foundation.. for his future secondary or even tertiary education.. I may sound a little "kiasu".. the typical mummies of Singapore.. but I don't really care! Most importantly is to secure a vacancy for my son in a good school.. other issues do not matter! Hehe =P

Received a notification from Nanhua to inform that his Pri 1 Orientation falls on 13Nov 9am! I'm can't wait for that day to arrive.. can't wait to bring Dylan to take a look at his school.. Yeah yeah! =)

Our 1st RWS Experience
Tuesday, July 27, 2010

Had a fabulous experience in RWS.. all thanks to mother for her complimentary Deluxe room in Hotel Michael of RWS.. Hehe =P "Photos speak louder than words" - this is a new phrase that derives from me!

We checked-in at around 5pm.. I asked for the Universal Studio (USS) view.. however there are some construction going on.. so the view isn't that great thou.. I should have chosen the resort view instead.. Nevertheless.. our stay is pleasant & fun.. After taking 1 round of photos of the room.. settled down.. & off to the pool we went.. Dyllis having real bad flu/cough.. so I breastfed her to nap before I popped into the pool.. The pool in Hotel Michael isn't big nor fantastic.. as compared to the ones at Festive & Hard Rock Hotels.. still.. Daddy.. Dylan & myself all had fun..

We went back to our room for bath.. then off to Fiesta Restaurant in Festive Hotel for a good sumptous dinner.. It served Brazilian/Latin American food there.. initially we thought that it would be kind of adventurous.. I refer to the taste.. Hehe =P.. Thou they serve western food.. the seasoning the cooking method is heavier.. Oh ya.. & they only serve set dinners.. no ala cartes.. so both Daddy & I had the 4-course dinner.. Dylan had the kids set dinner.. & Rini had a $25++ simple set dinner.. Thou our bill came up to an amount of $160.. It's worth it all! From soup.. to apetizers.. to main course.. to dessert.. to coffee/tea etc.. What else can I say?!

Explored Festive Walk after our heavy dinner.. Took many photos all around it.. then back to our room for sweet sweet dreams.. We woke up at close to 11am.. bathed.. get off to the Forum for our brunch.. We ate simple at ToastBox.. then continue to explore the rest of RWS.. Hard Rock Hotel is beautiful.. can pop by the next time round.. Checked-out at 2pm & headed back home.. It's a short but wonderful experience in RWS.. in Hotel Michael especially.. all thanks to our Gold Member - hubby's mum! Hehe =)
