 Mid-Autumn Festival 2008
Saturday, September 13, 2008
We celebrated our mid-autumn festival at East Coast Park this year. Although we didn't manage to get a pit there... we still managed to hold a bbq! You must be thinking how we did it?! I brought along my portable pit & everything went on just as wonderful!
Initially, we all thought that my portable pit is too small & it will take ages to cook the food that we have prepared... But it didn't pose a problem at all! We all had our stomach filled just as much as we wanted!
Although our bbq is a very simple one... We all had fun & enjoyed it as much! Everyone contributed... It is so nice of Uncle Simon to prepare Fried Bee Hoon & Rendang Mutton... His culinary skills didn't fail us! Aunty Joan prepared seasoned chicken wings & they are really tasty! My mum did the easy job by getting hot dogs, crab meat, soft drinks & the necesities from the Supermarket. Aunty Jen ordered & brought along Satay! As for me... like mother like daughter... I just grabbed some other extras from Giant... Taiwan sausages & sweet corn... But it's not as easy as you think... I gotta wash & cut the sweet corn before putting them to boil... Added some salt in the boiling water & had the sweet corns 75% cooked... Oh don't be mistaken... We gotta bbq it before it's edible.. Everyone complimented that my sweet corns are delicious... It really pays off!
Some snapshots of our mini celebration...
Dylan & Xavier all ready for action! Just couldn't stand that innocent look on his face?! ;p
Dylan riding his bike parading his lantern... Crazy Mum & Popo...
The 3 Maskersteers!
The man of our family... Oops what's Aden doing there?! The Hungry Brothers...
Enjoying the fruit of labour... Our Dowager Empress All of us @ East Coast Park All of us once again! The price of bullying Aden!
Our Statue of Liberty!

…slave to KING Elvin, PRINCE Dylan & PRINCESS Dyllis
The girl's name Rachel \r(a)-chel is pronounced as RAY-chel. It is of Hebrew origin, & its meaning is "ewe, innocent lamb".
But after living in this realistic & political world, guess I could never be an innocent lamb anymore... protecting my loved ones at all cost & not conspiracing on others is my basis of life!
