Sizzling Rock @ Boat Quay
Friday, December 11, 2009

We had a fabulous dinner @ the Sizzling Rock in Boat Quay last Thursday.. all thanks to Aunty Tuya for her generous treat! Oh by'd way Aunty Tuya is a colleague of my mum & she's a Mongolian! As she has hardly any friends & relatives in town.. & my mum's her right-hand woman.. she's always taggling along with us for outings & gatherings. She's a pretty nice lady, loves to eat, loves sightseeing! So we are usually with her for dinners.. & most of the time, she buys us! So how can I not say she's nice?! Haha =P

Back to topic! They arrived at Boat Quay much earlier like 7pm.. me & Elvin much later.. slightly after 8pm.. I thought they were like half-way through their dinner but to my surprise.. they only just placed their order.. heard from the rest is because Aunty Tuya wants to walk down the streets of Boat Quay looking for the "best" restaurant! Her initial plan was to give us a treat @ Sizzling Rock.. bcoz' she bought a coupon that is 1-for-1 main course.. so it would be a deal for so many of us - 8 sets but only pay for 4! However, after searching.. she wanted Indian cuisine.. due to Juliana who could not take too spicy food.. so they ended up back in Sizzling Rock!

BUTTTT... we still had northen indian cuisine after our Sizzling Rock.. we were all like so full! Full till we were all burping.. yet she still wants to have a taste of indian cuisine.. so we entertained her by eating a little.. We ordered a plate of samosa, potatoes & chicken curry.. guess how much the bill came up to be??? Eye-opening man! Its $110 for that 3 little side dishes!!! I'll never step into that restuarant the 2nd time.. the bill was shocking!

Yah.. not forgetting to give thanks to Aunty Joan for her photos.. bcoz' I'm famished.. can't wait to eat.. so no time for photo-taking.. these photos are from her!

Sizzling Rock @ Boat Quay Lightboard All of us (except for Dad.. busy eating & Dear Dear who is the photographer)! Baked Potato as starter.. Garden Salad as starter.. can have a choice of either 1! Steak w/ Crayfish.. Yum yum! Steak w/ Prawns.. "Flip the prawns Mum.. before its overcooked on that side!" Steak w/ Scallops.. (Aunty Joan busy sizzling her beef & scallops) Lamb Steak for Dad & Dylan (Dear Dear pan-frying for Dylan.. while I cut them into small pieces) Our chocolate & cheese fondue! This is a "must-order"! The cheese isn't too cheesy yet really taste cheese.. Hehe =P what am I trying to say man?! Anyway it's 2 thumbs up! The Northen Indian Restuarant
